Role Description:


As the Recruitment Manager, you will lead strategic workforce planning and recruitment initiatives for trucking and courier operations. Reporting directly to the Senior HR Director, you will manage and mentor a team of recruitment professionals while acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across the organization. This role has a strong operational focus, partnering closely with Operations, Safety, Compliance, and the broader HR team to ensure the organization attracts, onboards, and retains top talent while maintaining high standards for safety, performance, and employee engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning and delivery of workforce and recruitment initiatives that support Armour's operational priorities and growth across courier, white glove, and general freight divisions;
  • Directing, coaching, and supporting a dedicated Armour recruitment team, including field recruiters and recruitment coordinators, while operating as a hands-on manager who can step into recruiting and file processing as business demands require;
  • Overseeing end-to-end recruitment for professional driver populations, including Class 1 (company drivers and owner operators), Class 3, and Class 5 (Courier Division) roles;
  • Serving as a key partner to hiring managers and senior leaders by providing practical guidance on hiring needs, role requirements, recruitment approaches, and onboarding expectations;
  • Establishing consistent, disciplined recruitment processes and holding stakeholders accountable for timely interviews, participation, and hiring decisions;
  • Designing, enhancing, and maintaining effective onboarding and orientation experiences that promote safety, performance, and long-term employee retention;
  • Maximizing the use of recruitment systems and job advertising platforms to improve efficiency, reporting, and visibility, while supporting operational teams through ongoing change and adoption;
  • Developing external talent pipelines by actively supporting job fairs, industry events, driving school relationships, and community outreach initiatives;
  • Monitoring and interpreting recruitment and retention data, including turnover trends and exit feedback, to inform continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Working in close alignment with Safety and Compliance partners to ensure candidates meet all licensing, experience, and safety standards prior to hire.

Your Qualifications:

This role is well suited for a confident HR leader with a strong recruitment background, ideally within transportation or logistics environment. You are energized by building teams, developing people, and creating recruitment strategies that support long-term organizational success. All while given the autonomy to make meaningful decisions and influencing broader corporate programs and initiatives.


Your qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive recruitment experience, ideally within transportation, logistics, distribution, or another operationally intensive environment;
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop both front-line recruiters and coordination/support teams;
  • Strong working knowledge of driver recruitment, compliance, and onboarding processes, or close industry adjacency that provides operational credibility;
  • Experience leading recruitment in a high-volume, multi-location, and 24/7 operating environment;
  • High comfort level using applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology, with the ability to drive adoption and process change;
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, hold stakeholders accountable, and influence at all levels of the organization;
  • Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable operating in a changing, transformation-oriented environment;
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset;
  • Ability and willingness to work full-time in-office, with travel as required to support operations and team integration.
