The Coordinator is part of the Community Health & Wellbeing Program team in Ontario South, which includes the regions of Hamilton, Niagara, Burlington and Brantford. This role will have a strong focus on workflow management by coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of service delivery team. This role assists in the implementation and assessment of programs and services to ensure they run smoothly, comply with regulations, and meet organizational objectives. This role involves providing administrative, logistical, and technical support, coordinating team activities, managing documentation and reports, and aiding in resource distribution. Additionally, the coordinator engages with internal stakeholders, supports staff deployment, and contributes to ongoing improvement efforts to enhance the effectiveness and delivery of programs and services. The Coordinator works as a collaborative member of the regional Meals on Wheels and Transportation teams to ensure success in meeting operational goals.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the development and implementation of the program/service delivery plans to ensure success in meeting operational goals.
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of assigned programs and services.
- Work with clients, colleagues and staff to implement program activities. Build and maintain relationships with external partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and community engagement.
- Coordinate the logistics of materials, supplies, and equipment for program activities. Ensure the efficient use of resources
(financial, human, and material) to support program delivery. - Assist in the deployment of resources (staff, volunteers, equipment, etc.) for program/service delivery.
- Support implementation plans for program/service delivery.
- Support in program/service delivery monitoring.
- Assist with preparing and monitoring program specific budgets
- Assist with preparing reports, communications
- Collect and record program statistics.
- Assist with the preparation of various progress and evaluative reports.
- Support the development and implementation of training for staff and volunteers involved in program/service delivery.
- Assist in resource management, including tracking budgets, procurement needs, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare regular program reports and assist with data collection for assessments and program/service evaluations.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the program and service delivery framework and recommend change.
What we are looking for:
- Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years' experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an
equivalent combination of education and experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required.
- Ability to manage program schedules and timelines; prioritize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, by applying standard procedures and functional or organizational knowledge.
- Communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs,
offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations. - Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy and understanding for individuals with differing cognitive and physical abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the business environment or client requirements.
Working Conditions:
- Duties are conducted in office.
- The majority of the work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable.
