Position Scope:

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Packaging Coordinator supports the design, testing, and improvement of packaging used in production. This role works closely with the production team to ensure packaging runs smoothly on equipment and meets quality and food safety standards.

Assist with packaging design, testing, and continuous improvements while helping ensure packaging performs effectively with production equipment. Support label and artwork updates, including the approval process, and help track and resolve supplier-related issues. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to keep projects on schedule, while maintaining accurate packaging documents and records.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily on-site in a manufacturing environment with exposure to plant operations.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Occasional lifting and travel to suppliers may be required.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma/degree (or working toward one) in packaging, food science, quality, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
  • Any experience in manufacturing, packaging, or quality is an asset but not required.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a criminal record check and passport.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organization, along with effective communication and teamwork skills. Shows an interest in packaging, food safety, or manufacturing, and possesses basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Willing to learn company systems and processes, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
