About the Role
Labrador Grenfell Zone is looking to hire a highly motivated, energetic, compassionate Personal Care Attendant for the St. Anthony area. The Personal Care Attendant will work with the Community Supports team and under the supervision of the home first program manager. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a high standard of care to clients within their home setting in areas served by the Labrador Grenfell Zone. Duties include providing support to maintain individuals in their own homes, provide personal car, and respite services. The incumbent is responsible to ensure a safe environment for clients, families, co-workers and themselves.
Qualifications:
? Successful completion from a recognized Personal Care Attendant program or equivalent;
? current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);
? completion of Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI);
? the successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct;
Duties: (include but not limited to):
? Providing personal care to clients in their own home;
? Provides respite services to families;
? Documents according to organizational polices and guidelines;
? Participates in quality assurance/improvement activities;
? Transports clients as required;
? Work alone;
? Travel;
? Other related duties required;
