IT Specialist I-IV (Full Stack Developer)

The Application Support Team is responsible for developing and maintaining the technical infrastructures and associated software that provide the secure and stable computing required to support the Corporation's business systems and information management needs. This includes a continuous focus on meeting negotiated service levels, ensuring high availability of the infrastructure, managing outsourced services, minimizing service interruptions, rapid incidence response, and effective life cycle management for all systems.
Key functions include:
- Full stack development using various IDE (Integrated Development Environment)
- Testing and debugging of applications
- Design and analysis of new and existing applications
- Using IT programming/testing methodologies
- Configure and implement various custom off the shelf application
- Low code/no code application development
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of software engineering or equivalent with concentration in software development
Combined with:
- Proficiency in computer programming
- Understanding of relational databases
- Understanding of software development life cycle
- Ability to work with others
- Good analytical skills (problem solving)
- Ability to communicate effectively
Experience in one of the following would be considered an asset:
- Usage of code management tool such as GitHub
- Low-code/no-code platforms
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) foundation certification
- Experience with API (Applications Programming Interface) Management tool
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
