We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team based in the Firm's Fredericton, NB office.

Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

An integral member of the Firm, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to Legal Assistants and Administration team. With a strong client service orientation, the successful candidate will assist Support Staff in delivering services and programs that contribute to achieving Stewart McKelvey's "Service First" objectives.

In particular, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting Legal Assistants with 'Aderant Expert' related tasks, including performing conflict searches, processing new client matter forms, closing files, and preparing vouchers, all while liaising closely with lawyers and Legal Assistants to complete a variety of administrative duties.

The successful candidate will also maintain client files through scanning, database management, and coordinate file transfers to and from off-site storage, as well as manage the ongoing Inactive Matters project. Further administrative duties such as performing photocopying, scanning, and binding will also be required.

Lastly, the Administrative Assistant will assist with incoming and outgoing mail, provide primary back-up coverage to the office's reception desk, assist with providing facilities coverage in the absence of the Manager, Administrative services & will provide support to the Manager, Administrative Services with planning for various office-related events.
