- Maintain plant and crop health under the guidance of department leads.
- Scout croups for signs of basic plant problems, such as discolouration, pests, and diseases.
- Propagation and management of propagated plants.
- Work as part of a packaging line where attention to detail is crucial.
- Trimming cannabis, making hash, rosin, or other products as advised.
- Ensure shipping and receiving activities are done accurately and on time.
- At all times, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities to produce consistent quality cannabis products.
- Ensure workspace, equipment, tools and production areas are clean and sanitary, and within regulatory guidelines.
- When documenting activities, ensure good production practices (GPPs) are followed at all times.
- Ensure refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current SOP's.
- Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by department leads.
- At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in and/or knowledge of commercial production horticulture, specifically cannabis, is considered an asset.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial.
- Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Physically fit, as these jobs may require you to perform various manual labour tasks.
- Great communication skills - proficiently able to read/write/speak in English.
Job Specifics
- Normal hours are Mon to Fri, 830-430. Occasional OT may be required to complete priority work tasks.
- Incumbent must be able to report for work at our facility located on Captain Prim Drive in St. John's.
- Must be able to clear a Criminal Record Check.
