Paper Machine Day Supervisor

Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our PM2 team. Reporting to the PM2 Superintendent, this position is responsible for the safe operation of the PM2 operating floor. The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education and progressive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or related industrial unionized environment. Supervision experience will be considered an asset. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in the paper industry.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with the Maintenance, Shipping, Scheduling and other departments, as well as suppliers and consultants as required
• Ensure activities are optimized for safety and environmental compliance, quality, efficiency and cost control
• Support all safety and training programs
