Job Title: Human Resources Clerk
Job Type: 16-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $19 - $25 (Based on experience)
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk to provide essential clerical and administrative support to a Government of Canada department in the National Capital Region. In this role, you will support the efficient operation of the unit by managing documents and data, assisting with routine correspondence, maintaining tracking systems, and responding to inquiries related to HR processes and employee records. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform document and file management functions to support daily operations
- Enter and process data in databases and spreadsheets in accordance with established formats
- Prepare and format documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to presentation
- Draft routine correspondence and emails
- Complete general office tasks including photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents
- Maintain Bring-Forward (BF) tracking systems to ensure timely follow-ups
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data prior to supervisor review
- Conduct basic research and analyze straightforward data as required
- Respond to employee inquiries related to file status, benefits, and HR policies
- Obtain and verify information for employee records
Mandatory Requirements:
- English Essential
- Valid Secret Level Clerance
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of relevant experience
