The University of Fredericton (UFred) is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Scheduling Officer to support the planning and coordination of course schedules across our academic programs.
In this role, you'll play an important part in ensuring our students have a seamless and well-structured academic experience. Working closely with program chairs, faculty, and internal teams, you will coordinate course schedules, manage section planning, and help ensure that each term runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Build, maintain, and publish course schedules each term, managing course offerings, section sizing, and student pathways across assigned programs
• Coordinate with program chairs and leadership to incorporate curricular changes, new course offerings, and faculty availability into scheduling plans
• Serve as a key scheduling contact for faculty and internal staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Connect with faculty and the bookstore to coordinate textbook requirements and communicate changes to applicable internal stakeholders.
• Assign faculty to course sections each term, support compensation calculations, and facilitate faculty contracting and invoicing
• Identify and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, escalating complex or sensitive issues as appropriate
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling processes, tools, and team documentation
• Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of experience in higher education or professional school administration
• Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across several stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative and service-oriented approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint, is considered an asset
• Experience with scheduling systems, student information systems, or Salesforce is an asset

Hours of Work:
This is a full-time permanent position (35 hours per week) under regular business hours. The position is based in Fredericton, NB, with the option to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick and attend in-person meetings as required. The ideal candidate resides in New Brunswick or is willing to relocate.
