What is the Opportunity?
The Senior Director, Total Rewards Delivery Modernization will lead a multi-year program to transform the Bank's Global Compensation & Global Mobility programs – annual incentive compensation, variable compensation, capital markets, equity administration and global mobility related compensation – are delivered through optimized people, processes and technology.
Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards Delivery, this role will be focused on the operational delivery of the compensation programs from an HR business perspective including modernizing the end-to-end administration of the programs and leveraging both internal and market solutions to develop sustainable delivery solutions. The role will partner closely with Talent Services and the HR Technology team, ensuring solution alignment between business objectives and system capabilities.
This senior role will initially lead a core team of approximately 3 professionals to develop a multi-year modernization roadmap, define and establish a structured repeatable operational playbook to guide the year-end cycle across all programs.
The successful candidate will bring deep experience leading enterprise-scale HR and Compensation transformation programs in complex, regulated environments — with a proven ability to work horizontally, navigate governance, mitigate risks, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
Modernization Roadmap & Operational Strategy
Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap focused on transforming the delivery of compensation programs through enhanced people capabilities, streamlined processes and modern technology solutions.
Prioritize operational efficiency, scalability, compliance, and employee/people manager experience in incentive payouts, equity processing, and global mobility compensation administration.
Direct current-state assessment and future-state process design in partnership with the Compensation Advisory team and HR Operations.
Process Optimization, Automation & Continuous Improvement
Lead comprehensive process re-engineering for compensation delivery workflows across all functions to reduce manual intervention leveraging the Bank's existing technology to mitigate for operational risk.
Define and monitor key performance indicators focused on delivery outcomes and use data-driven insights to inform and improve delivery operations.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Build and lead a high-performing transformational team, that collaboratively partners with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Provide expertise on delivery feasibility/impacts of new programs, resolve operational issues, and drive cross-functional projects for seamless rollout.
Act as the primary operational delivery partner to key HR stakeholders, HR Technology partners and senior leadership, providing clear insights on progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase level of automation and leverage GenAI to increase efficiency, effectiveness and governance of key processes.
Ensure compliance with enterprise risk, privacy, and security standards throughout the process.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale, multi-year transformation programs, preferably within the financial services sector or a comparable regulated environment.
5+ years of senior program or portfolio leadership experience in HR, Finance, or Enterprise Transformation.
Direct experience implementing or upgrading HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday) across compensation, and benefits (with a strong preference for legacy SAP systems).
Strong understanding of HR processes and how they integrate across business, technology, and compliance dimensions.
Proven ability to lead and scale large teams and vendor partners in a matrixed environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
