Custodian

We are accepting applications for a casual full-time Custodian to join the team, with potential for a transition to permanent employment. Custodian's perform cleaning and minor maintenance functions within assigned Municipally owned facilities. Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing washrooms and garbage removal.

What you can provide:

• Availability for a flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.
• Ability to travel to assigned facilities throughout the Municipality.
• Related experience in cleaning methods, equipment and procedures common in the care of large buildings.
• Current certification, or willingness and ability to attend training in WHMIS, Basic Workplace First Aid, Respect in the Workplace, Psychological Safety at work.
• Ability to provide clean Criminal Record and Child Abuse registry checks.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent teamwork, organizational and time management skills.
• Basic understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in a customer focused environment.

Hourly Rate: $24.60
