In anticipation of opening in June 2026, we are searching for a full-time Music Therapist to join our new Adeline Hall Enhanced Care team based in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
- Develops, plans, implements and evaluates comprehensive Music Therapy Programs focusing on the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of residents in a variety of settings
- Develops appropriate Music Therapy programs based on assessment results, applying facilitation techniques to assist residents in achieving goals.
- Implements Music Therapy Programs in a variety of settings, including large and small groups and one-to-one.
- Documents resident progress and maintains accurate resident records; analyses data to assist in the development of appropriate programs
- Promotes a safety culture by continuously working safely including but not limited to identifying and reporting hazards, following safe work practices and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment, supporting others to work safely and completing safety education.
- Ensures resident safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provided.
- Attends in-services, workshops, conferences and other educational sessions for ongoing professional development.
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in music therapy and completion of 1000-hour clinical internship.
- Accredited, or in the process of becoming accredited, with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy
- Minimum of one-year combined experience in the delivery of music therapy in a health care setting
- Previous long-term care experience considered an asset
- Proof of current, valid CPR and First Aid Certification considered an asset
- Ability to play a variety of instruments including guitar and piano.
- Ability to sing.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
