Incentives & Remuneration
Remuneration will be determined in accordance with the specific role and practice location. Additional details will be shared as the recruitment process progresses.
Successful applicants may be eligible to receive the following:
- Urban or rural recruitment incentive with a return of service.
- Moving expense reimbursement is also available.
What you will do
- Perform both elective and emergency surgical operations.
- Provide outpatient services for the assessment and management of patients
- Provide inpatient care including daily rounds on patients.
- Provide consultations to hospital-based patients as requested by medical or hospital staff.
- Maintain a private office for elective consultations and visits.
- Teaching responsibilities for residents, medical students, and others as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address staff and patient education needs.
- Participate in the use of departmental and corporate evidence-based rules of practice to ensure that expected standards of care are achieved.
- Participate in the on-call rota of the Division of Surgery.
Who you are
- Must be eligible for a license to practice medicine in the Province of New Brunswick.
- Must be eligible for membership and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Must be eligible for malpractice insurance from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or equivalent, appropriate to the category of practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Good attendance and work record.
