Your main responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of mechanical engineers, technologists, and designers working on project such as: Base-building and fit-up design of office spaces, retail spaces, restaurants, and other misc. commercial spaces;
  • Ensure time sheet approval, coordinating team's work schedule, tracking team's work back log, overseeing team project budgets, doing team member yearly performance review;
  • Oversee the design and delivery of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating, fire protection, controls) for various commercial projects;
  • Ensure technical excellence through design reviews, calculations, specifications, and compliance with codes and standards;
  • Coordinate mechanical work with other disciplines, clients, contractors, and suppliers;
  • Act as a technical reference and problem-solver throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to construction support;
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety expectations;
  • Participate in client meetings, provide technical guidance, and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Contribute to proposals, project planning, and business development activities as required;
  • Promote and enforce Engobe's health and safety policies, ensuring risks are identified and controlled at the source.

What makes you unique

  • 10 years of experience in building mechanical engineering;
  • Proven experience designing commercial or similar projects;
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or Collage Diploma (Mechanical or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (team lead, discipline lead, or similar role) an asset;
  • Professional engineering designation or eligibility (assest);
  • Strong communication skills; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
