Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a committed, detail-oriented, logical individual to join our team as a Management Information System Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a number of years of demonstrated experience within Finance and the CIHI Management Information Systems Framework and Scope

Who you are

You have worked in the Management Information System Coordinator role or in a Finance based role for a minimum of 3 years. You have in depth experience in Finance and accounting practices. You enjoy problems solving and root cause analysis. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and are comfortable learning and using different IT systems.

  • A Degree related to Finance or Information Management or College Diploma with relevant experience
  • Must have three years of related experience that must include experience with the CIHI
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.
  • Preference will be given to candidates that are from the Saint John Area.

What you will do

The Management Information System Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the integrity of the Management Information System through performing audits and addressing areas of non-compliance
  • Establishing data collection methodologies and data quality audits for stakeholders
  • Providing clinical, financial, administrative and utilization information to support decision making
  • Analyzing data and providing decision support to the organization
  • Coordinating and compiling adhoc, quarterly and annual reports of performance including conducting variance analyses
  • Developing and providing training and information sessions related to the MIS System and Standards
  • Recommending enhancements and further development of MIS to the Provincial MIS Coordinator for inclusion in CIHI technical group discussions
  • Coordinating and supporting provincial MIS initiatives
