.Net Software Developer

Big Red Digital are an established, UK based software and web development company with an existing base in Halifax. We are looking for a proven and motivated .Net Developer to join our team. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate who will be given the opportunity to improve existing technical skills and to learn and implement new and emerging technologies within a globally established platform.

The role represents the opportunity to become a senior and valued member of the Big Red team. Experience in working to live project deadlines and being comfortable in a custom-facing role is critical here. Therefore, this role is probably not suitable for recent graduates with those with short-term experience.

You will work on the support and development of our own Big Red Platform. You will also be responsible for helping to shape the future of our technology and assisting in the training and development of other members of staff. A successful candidate must be well-organised with excellent development and testing skills. You should have the ability to communicate highly technical solutions to non-technical people. A positive, 'can-do' attitude is a must - as is a love of problem-solving. You will be expected to bring your own perspective and experience to every project you are involved in, offering creative thinking and dynamic solutions to help produce work that exceeds senior management and client expectations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in developing web applications with C#, ASP.NET, VB, .NET Webforms, MS SQL
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery
• Degree in Computer Science
• The ability to work unsupervised if/when required
• An eye for design and experience of working with a creative team
• Responsive web design
• Be able to work to deadlines and within budget
• Ability to give realistic estimates of timescales for work
