The Director, Energy Delivery Services will lead the team that is responsible for the safe and efficient planning, scoping, engineering, and scheduling of internal and external field resources to ensure we deliver reliable and optimized energy services to our customers. Energy Delivery Scheduling, Regional Engineering, and Meter Services, Wiring Inspection & Regional Planning are all a part of this team.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Energy Delivery Services you'll be responsible for a broad scope and this role will provide you with an opportunity to take on an essential role within our business.
Key elements of this role include:
Leading three large teams of union and non-union employees across Energy Delivery while ensuring they are delivering on safety, environment, customer experience, performance standards, reliability with strong financial performance.
Taking accountability for ensuring 1) the Energy Delivery Scheduling team manages forecasts, work plans and resource allocation of field resources for all of Energy Delivery, 2) the Meter, Inspection & Planning team manages the safety and performance of all Meter Reading, Wiring Inspecting and Regional Planning employees throughout the province, and 3) the Regional Engineering team provides all operational engineering services across the province.
As the Director of these three teams, you'll be responsible for leading the human resources within this department to ensure a high level of performance while maintaining a high level of employee morale, commitment, and productivity by training, developing, motivating, and communicating with their team.
Leading and championing corporate & continuous improvement initiatives, as well as outage and storm management.
Demonstrating Health, Safety and Environment leadership through ongoing continuous improvement initiatives that promote and encourage safety and environmental processes for the company, employees, and customers.
In this role you will work closely with the Director of Regional Operations, Director of Reliability and other senior leaders in the business.

To thrive in this role, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies and skills listed below:
Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
7-10+ years of strong leadership experience, ideally gained in an electric utility environment with emphasis on delivery of excellent customer service.
Exceptional Leadership and communication capabilities, with the ability to coach, mentor & motivate employees at all levels including advising the Executive team on emerging opportunities and issues.
Experience in transmission and distribution power systems, resource work planning and utility finances.
You are a natural problem solver and possess decision-making ability.
You bring excellent organization, delegation and planning skills aligned with a strong administration and financial skill set.
Resource management capabilities and team building strength.
You can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, team-focused environment with the ability to handle multiple deliverables and you can work independently under tight deadlines.
Last, but certainly not least: you have a strong interest in the future of energy.
