Reporting to the Lead, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Administrator is a key member of the Finance Department that helps to run the daily operations of the department. Main functions include developing vendor profiles and ensuring proper payment of invoices. The Administrator is responsible to ensure information for new vendors is established and that invoices are recorded and paid in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

The AP Administrator will be the point of contact for vendors, to answer queries for payment and account issues as well as investigate any discrepancies. The AP Administrator is responsible for forwarding rent for each site every month. In addition, the Administrator will maintain an accurate and update database of all sites. The incumbent will also provide coverage for the main reception desk during lunch hours and/or vacations.

Professional Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Post secondary education in Business or Accounting.
  • Education should be complimented with a minimum of two years' experience in accounts payable or a similar finance position.
  • Experience in a computerized accounting environment.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to process accurate data entry skills to produce results for a fast-paced support department.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and implement resolutions.

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
