JOB TYPE: Permanent part-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Night, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Psychiatry Manager, the incumbent assesses, supports, and assists patients by developing and maintaining their autonomy, in accordance with the interdisciplinary intervention plan, with a view to reintegration into the community. The incumbent participates in the patient's recovery plan, observes, documents, and reports psychological and behavioral changes. They take part in multidisciplinary team meetings, intervene in crisis situations, and provide emotional support to patients. The incumbent also assists staff by carrying out intermediate and close monitoring of patients at risk of suicide and may, on occasion, facilitate activities with patients.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma plus a program or additional course in community integration of more than six months and up to one year, or an equivalent;
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (CPI) training – Advanced Techniques, or a commitment to complete the training according to a predetermined schedule;
  • Training in suicide prevention and management, or a commitment to complete the training according to a predetermined schedule;
  • Valid Immediate Care and Resuscitation (ICR) certificate;
  • Ability to develop effective partnerships with available community resources;
  • Autonomy, sound judgment, decision-making skills, and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
