Purpose of Position:

To execute the Quality Audit and Surveillance program, and to assist with all other aspects of the QA system under the direction of the Regional Quality Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of Manager, perform quality audits and/or surveillance as per the requirements of the Audit / Surveillance Program (including reports and follow-up).

  • Execute ad-hoc, unscheduled audits and work surveillance activities to ensure continued compliance with regulatory and company policy and procedures as applicable.
  • Audit / Surveillance follow up, Service Difficulty Reporting or other communications with Transport Canada.
  • Execute process/procedural audits / surveillance of specific functions at the request of maintenance Supervisors (quality improvement initiatives).
  • Support the Error Management (Human Factors, SMS, etc.) programs, as requested with technical follow-up of maintenance error incidents.
  • Direct corrective action for audits findings (non-conformances) where necessary.
  • Monitor and assist in the ACA/SCA licensing issuance and control.
  • Assist in the import and export of aircraft.
  • Prepare draft changes to company manuals or documents as required.
  • Prepare weight and balance reports and monitor W&B database.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in investigation activities.
  • Assist with Vendor Approval and monitoring.
  • Process Major Mod/Major Repair reports from the local maintenance base, review the documentation and submit the documentation to Transport Canada in accordance with CARS requirements.
  • Review MEL (Minimum Equipment List) and Task extensions as approved by Maintenance Control and Maintenance Planning respectively.
  • Review and process all Ferry Flight permits issued by Maintenance Control.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

  • AME license is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years maintenance or quality experience.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Statistical analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulatory requirements and processes.
