As a key member of the leadership team, the Health Club Manager – Lifestyle is responsible for the start-up and daily operations of a full-service wellness club, ensuring exceptional member experiences, high-quality programming, and strong team leadership. This role plays an important part in creating a welcoming environment where residents and community members can focus on health, wellness, and social connection.

• Approximate annual salary range: $55,000 – $67,000

About the Opportunity

• Lead the start-up and day-to-day operations of the wellness and recreation facilities at Parkland Ancaster

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive calendar of wellness, fitness, recreation, and social programming for residents and members

• Recruit, train, and supervise recreation and wellness team members while fostering a collaborative, service-focused culture

• Coordinate external instructors, personal trainers, spa providers, and wellness contractors to deliver high-quality services

• Ensure exceptional member experiences through strong engagement, responsive service, and innovative programming

• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and support membership growth through community outreach and partnerships

About You

In addition to placing high value on health, wellness, and service excellence, you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a health club, wellness centre, recreation facility, hospitality environment, or similar setting

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Experience developing wellness or recreation programming for diverse populations

• Financial and operational management experience

• Passion for promoting wellness, active living, and social engagement

Asset Qualifications:

• Certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, or lifeguard certification

• Experience supporting new program or facility start-ups
