Training & Development Manager

Technical Rope & Rescue Inc. is a Newfoundland-owned company specializing in safety training, rope access, emergency response, and difficult access solutions for high-risk work environments. We are seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead and grow TRR's training division. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of training delivery, instructor coordination, program development, and client engagement.

This position is ideal for a safety professional or technical rescue specialist who understands industrial training environments and wants to build and expand a high-quality training program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage TRR's training division and course offerings
• Coordinate and schedule instructors and training resources
• Work with clients to organize and deliver training programs
• Support business development and sales of training services
• Maintain training quality standards aligned with TRR's ISO quality system
• Track client feedback and recommend improvements to courses
• Identify opportunities for new training programs and market growth
• Organize industry outreach initiatives such as seminars, lunch & learns, and workshops
• Ensure training materials, equipment, and instructor qualifications remain current
• Support marketing initiatives and develop relationships with industry clients

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial safety training, emergency response, rope access, or technical rescue
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience coordinating teams or instructors
• Demonstrated ability in business development or client relationship management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of WorkplaceNL training requirements, fall protection, confined space, or rescue training considered an asset
