Job Summary
Western Zone is seeking the services of a fee for service Gastroenterologist in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. Responsibilities include participation in the General Medicine on call schedule and providing inpatient and office-based General Internal Medicine consultation service.
WMRH is a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital which opened in June 2024. It is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people.
We are affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and we encourage and support academic interests.
Qualifications Required: Eligible for licensure as a Medical Internist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada eligible and meets the credentialing requirements of Western Zone?s Discipline of Medicine.
Remuneration: Fee for Service basis as per the Medical Care Plan (MCP) fee schedule.
Available Incentives
Physician Signing Bonus $150,000 with $25,000 top up
Come Home Incentive - $100,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)
