What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Project Support & Analytics Officer for the Payments & Trade Supplier Management team, you will manage financial and operational data analytics and reporting for largescale suppliers, driving value to RBC by delivering information required for business decisions and production management. From this unique position, you will collaborate and provide value across the RBC enterprise including directly to business lines, product groups, payment processing channels, technology teams, and RBC clients.


In this role, you will manage data and financial analytics for RBC relationship with Symcor and Canada Post, RBC Tier 1 Suppliers. This includes oversight of spend projections and analytics, deep-dive volume trending, and stakeholder reporting. In addition, the role includes the opportunity to drive digital and optimization strategies.

What will you do?

  • Responsible to manage reporting functions for Supplier Management Team with focus on communicating information to facilitate decision making amongst senior management.

  • Responsible for tracking Symcor Change Requests (CR) and relevant data (weekly delivery). Work with team members to ensure updates are provided on time and are informative.
  • Responsible for delivery of ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Delivery of insight packages to stakeholder senior management across the enterprise.
  • Responsible to review and reconcile team Distribution History Reports and investigate unexpected charges.
  • Responsible to support the Senior Manager, Supplier Relationship Governance in reoccurring governance activities and reporting.
  • Responsible to maintain detailed governance responsibility tracker, ensuring all Supplier Team governance activities are documented and delivered on-time.
  • Partner with Governance team to ensure governance activities and requirements are completed on-time and accurately, including BCP and audit (SOC1) activities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 2+ years of experience with banking operations
  • High Proficiency in MS Office tools (notably Excel & Power Point)
  • Elite analytic and communication skills
  • Strong operational and financial acumen

Nice to Have

  • Ability to foster effective collaboration and interaction across multiple groups and disciplines
  • Proven success at driving deliverables to completion, exercising effective change management strategies and tactics
  • Professional maturity to deal with senior managers/executives
