Our MPE a division of Englobe is hiring an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, for our Calgary Office. As an ideal candidate, you will take responsibility for portions of project design, coordination, and technical execution. You will work through all project phases, from planning and detailed design to construction support, commissioning, and start-up, while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

Your main responsibilities

  • Lead and support electrical engineering design for municipal, water, wastewater, commercial, and industrial facilities.
  • Prepare detailed design documents including calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Model electrical power systems (up to 750V) using tools such as SKM.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
  • Conduct site assessments and construction reviews to verify compliance with design requirements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, and client communications.
  • Apply and promote health and safety rules and comply with Englobe's quality procedures.

What makes you unique

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Eligibility for registration with APEGA
  • P.Eng, certification is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering,
  • Familiarity in the following categories would be beneficial:

o Municipal infrastructure

o Water and wastewater treatment facilities

o Industrial and/or commercial buildings

  • AutoCAD, Revit, SKM and/or ETAP experience would be an asset.
  • Experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, communications, and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code and applicable industry standards.
  • Proven ability to coordinate small or medium design packages.
