Position Overview:

The City of Saint John is seeking a student to join our Information Technology (IT) team for the summer months (from mid-May until late August). The successful candidate will provide technical services and support throughout the organization.

This position will assist the IT team with operational tasks including:

• Providing desktop support to customers
• Assisting the network team with testing and moving equipment
• Receiving calls for service, data entry, and other administrative tasks
• Setting up mobile devices
• Creating reports

Essential Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a student in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field of information systems, or an equivalent program. Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including:

• Desktops
• Network technology
• Microsoft Office
• SharePoint
• Active Directory

is an asset. This self-motivated individual must also possess strong customer service skills. A security clearance is required as well as an Oath of Confidentiality.
