Position Summary

The Team Leader, Provincial Programs oversees all provincial government contracts within the Provincial Programs portfolio. This role manages contract review, renewals, negotiations, compliance, reporting, and serves as the primary contact for the NS Provincial Programs contract teams.

Working closely with internal leaders and government partners, the Team Leader ensures service levels are met, deliverables are completed, and strong client relationships are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with provincial government contract teams.
  • Promote positive client relations and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Align approaches with contract management peers.
  • Act as the escalation point for contract concerns and coordinate resolutions.

Contract Oversight & Compliance

  • Ensure consistent contract management practices across all provincial agreements.
  • Conduct contract reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with all contractual deliverables, including IT and functionality requirements.
  • Provide contract fulfillment updates to the Manager, Provincial Programs.

Service Level & Reporting Management

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting obligations.
  • Identify and resolve potential service level risks.
  • Lead breach reporting, return?to?green planning, and waiver negotiations when required.

Change Requests, Negotiations & Business Development

  • Lead coordination and tracking of client change initiatives.
  • Support internal teams in achieving positive outcomes for client?requested changes.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations, including service levels and scope.
  • Act as the primary contact for new service acquisition or change requests.
  • Negotiate rates for billable work and support profitability goals.
  • Assist in reviewing legislative, legal, and contract documentation for RFPs.

Privacy, Security & Financial Accountability

  • Ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements and support related training.
  • Partner with operational teams and Finance to ensure accurate, timely invoicing.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Partner with operational teams to provide quality assurance for each respective area.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Team Leadership

  • Oversee support functions within Contract Management, Health Information, and Quality Assurance.
  • Set team goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and workload coordination.
  • Monitor quality, timelines, service levels, and compliance.
  • Resolve team issues and act as primary escalation point.
  • Communicate updates and maintain clear information flow.
  • Track performance metrics and drive process improvements.
  • Coordinate cross?team activities to support smooth operations.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a relevant health related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience is an asset.
  • Experience in contract management, government programs, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of contract structures, service level management, and compliance activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem?solving skills.
  • Experience leading teams or overseeing support functions is an asset.
  • Experience in project coordination/management is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Pay Range:
73,465 - 82,648 CAD

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
