What is the opportunity?

Lending Services within BCS includes three pillars working collaboratively to provide end to end service support to our Capital Markets and BFS business partners for lending products and supporting administrative agent responsibilities when mandated. The prime objective of the Analyst, Servicing position is to provide support to the day-to-day administration of an assigned group of Borrower Names for which RBC is a counterparty in primary syndications or secondary loan trading, Lender Participant and/or Administrative Agent and their related credit facilities, loan drawings and fee and interest payments. The competence with which the incumbent's duties are carried out has a major impact on the credibility of the department, both within and outside the Bank.
The incumbent must display a clear understanding of the administrative aspects of each assigned deal to resolve the various requests for interpretation and action that arise daily.

What will you do?

  • Process transactions in Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS) upon requests from assigned Borrowers or their Agents for advances, rollovers, conversions, repayments or upon receipt of loan trading settlement instructions from Loan Trading Middle Office via Electronic Loan Trading Application (ELTA)

  • Process/reconcile interest and fee transactions in ACBS as required by the Credit Agreement

  • Input or verify information in payment systems, as required for payments which cannot be processed through ACBS.

  • Act as a backup to other Analysts across Lending Services.

  • Investigate breaks on various control reports/internal accounts on a daily basis and input comments where required

  • Complete assigned courses on Workday

  • Identify any gaps in processes and provide detailed recommendations to the Manager for consideration; assist with the implementation of process changes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have's

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team

  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and Detail Oriented

Nice to Have's

  • Knowledge of ACBS

  • Knowledge of lending products, rate setting and payment methods
