We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Technologist to join our team based in New Brunswick. There is a possibility to operate out of the Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton offices or remotely in the Bathurst Region.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Coordinate Building Systems: Lead or contribute to the design, layout, and coordination of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, life safety, communications, security, and access control systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, infrastructure and residential projects.
- Prepare Technical Reports & Recommendations: Conduct research, analyze design options, compile findings, and prepare clear technical reports and recommendations that support engineering decisions and project planning.
- Lead CAD & Revit Production: Develop and manage detailed electrical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards and BIM requirements.
- Support Engineering and Technical Delivery: Work closely with team members to translate design concepts into complete drawing packages, technical deliverables, and coordinated documentation.
- Innovate, Mentor and Collaborate: Provide guidance to junior technologists and designers, foster teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project team.
- Ensure Quality & Compliance: Apply electrical codes, building standards, and best practices to design documents; verify that drawings and models meet quality expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Site Reviews: Participate in site surveys to document existing electrical infrastructure; support construction administration activities such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and performing field reviews.
- Support Multidisciplinary Workflows: Coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil teams to resolve conflicts, maintain design intent, and ensure integrated project delivery.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- A diploma in engineering technology, with registration or eligibility for registration with provincial technology Associations;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation, with in-depth knowledge of building, energy and electrical codes and standards;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design, coordination, and interdisciplinary project collaboration;
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information, draft detailed reports, and work collaboratively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver quality work on time and within budget.

The following would be considered assets:
- Experience working in a consulting engineering environment is preferred;
- Electrical design experience for commercial, institutional, retail and residential projects in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards;
- Experience using Agi32 lighting analysis software and SKM Power Tools; and
- The ability to communicate in both English and French would be an asset.
