Red Shores Racetrack & Casino is Atlantic Canada's premier entertainment destination, offering world-class gaming, harness racing, hospitality, and live entertainment across its Charlottetown and Summerside properties. With a reputation for delivering unforgettable experiences to guests and the local community, Red Shores combines the thrill of live harness racing with the excitement of casino gaming, creating a truly unique destination. Owned and operated by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation Inc., Red Shores operates under provincial oversight that emphasizes responsible gaming and community engagement.

This is a pivotal period for Red Shores, finishing up a multi-million dollar reinvestment in the Charlottetown property to elevate its guest experience and strengthening its position as Atlantic Canada's leading entertainment venue, blending the island's rich racing heritage with contemporary gaming, dining, and hospitality in a modern, engaging environment.

To help lead this next chapter of growth and innovation, Red Shores is seeking a strategic and visionary General Manager (GM) to join its executive leadership team and drive operational excellence, market impact and long-term success.

What does this role entail?

Reporting to the Chief Player Experience Officer of Atlantic Lottery, the GM, Red Shores is responsible for setting and executing the long-term strategy for the Charlottetown and Summerside properties, with full accountability for financial performance, operations, and guest experience. The GM leads all core functions, including gaming, racing, food & beverage, and facilities while ensuring regulatory compliance, strong stakeholder relationships, and sustainable growth. The role works closely with regulators and provincial partners to ensure strong governance and compliance, leading key infrastructure and development initiatives, and building a high-performing team culture rooted in accountability, community engagement, and responsible gaming, positioning Red Shores for sustained success as Atlantic Canada's premier entertainment destination

This is a fully on-site leadership role located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

As the ideal candidate, you:

  • Bring extensive senior leadership experience, with 10+ years in progressively senior operational roles, ideally within gaming, hospitality, entertainment, or multi-site operations. Experience in casino operations or the broader horse racing industry is considered a strong asset
  • Have a proven record of driving growth, operational excellence and financial performance including P&L and capital oversight
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to adapt communication and leadership style across operational teams, corporate stakeholders, regulators and government partners, including experience navigating highly regulated environments.
  • Are forward-thinking and commercially savvy, able to identify opportunities for market differentiation, brand elevation, and long-term organizational growth
  • Hold a degree in business, hospitality, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
