Supports the group insurance underwriting process by coordinating renewals and submissions, validating and entering data, identifying coverage and contract variances, preparing quotes and reports, and ensuring accurate rates, commissions, and fees in compliance with established procedures.
- Manage the group insurance submission process, including prioritization, data entry, rate calculations, variance identification, and timely delivery of proposals or decline letters to clients.
- Process renewals, endorsements, and ad hoc requests, including system updates, reports, templates, renewal letters, and coordination with issuance teams.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance by validating data, identifying contract and system discrepancies, and incorporating underwriting changes into final documents.
- Coordinate and confirm partner renewal rates, commissions, fees, margins, and reinsurance charges, ensuring proper system updates and communication with accounting.
- Provide training, administrative support, and workflow coordination to colleagues, acting as a resource for daily operational tasks.
- Support new group sales and additions, validating sales versus submission data, recalculating rates when required, coordinating with brokers/TPAs, and confirming final risk acceptance and rates with clients.
- Basic knowledge of group insurance, with a strong understanding of Assumption Life group benefits and system capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage a dynamic workload and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in French and English, with strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and apply problem-solving skills to underwriting tasks while following standard procedures
