We are excited to partner with Grinner's Food Systems Limited, franchisor of Greco Pizza, Capt. Submarine and Frozu, who is currently seeking a Manager, Finance to join their team based in Truro, NS. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Manager will oversee the preparation of year end reporting, period end reporting, and the collection and analysis of financial data. This position will also assist with various reconciliations and will be responsible for the bookkeeping for a portfolio of franchisee files. This role will support the VP of Finance with projects and day to day finance functions. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detailed, efficient, and looking to contribute and grow with the company and help the team meet their goals.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and review corporate period ends and year ends.
  • Prepare and manage accounting operations for several corporate entities (bank reconciliations, payables processing, and monthly journal entries).
  • Complete period end financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize various account information.
  • Develop periodic reports for management.
  • Keep information confidential and secure.


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Post secondary education with a degree or diploma in accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years work experience as an accountant with a full cycle corporate entity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness and motivation to learn new processes and procedures.
