Delivery Helper

Location: New Glasgow, Nova Scotia

Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing

Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Advantage Personnel is currently seeking dependable and professional Delivery Helpers to support a retail asset management operation in New Glasgow. This role involves delivering household furnishings and appliances directly to customers while providing a high level of service and care. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, interacting with customers, and being part of a small, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload furniture, appliances, and household products
• Deliver and set up products in customers' homes with professionalism and care
• Lift, carry, and maneuver items such as sofas, mattresses, washers, dryers, and electronics
• Complete delivery documentation accurately
• Assist with product returns, exchanges, and asset movement as required
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and handle large household items safely
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a two-person team environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for driver duties)
• Previous delivery, moving, or customer service experience is an asset
• CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots required
