Job Description:
The Integrated Marketing Planning team partners with our business units, channels and marketing specialists to design world class marketing strategies and campaigns that drive shareholder value and customer loyalty. Our team acts as leaders on all aspects of marketing, influencing the business strategy, while ensuring TD brand is protected and delivered in the customer experience. As part of Marketing, the Integrated Marketing Planning team operates in a Primarily On Site office model (4 days a week in office).
Overall Accountability:
The Manager, Behavioural Insights should be a strategic thinking, curious individual who has behavioural science expertise and business acumen. This individual must navigate the organization, recommend behaviourally driven solutions, conduct research, experiments, and statistical analysis, and disseminate behavioural concepts in the language of the business to support enterprise initiatives. The Behavioural Insights Practice takes an interdisciplinary approach to solving business problems drawing from psychology, behavioural economics, neuroscience, and related disciplines to create actionable solutions that have a measurable impact. This individual will report to the Senior Manager, Horizontal Strategies & Behavioural Insights Lead.
Accountabilities:
As a Behavioural Insights Manager, you'll lead qualitative and quantitative research, present the insights from your research, assist decision makers in applying them, and be called upon to invent solutions that apply behavioural solutions to solve business problems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Uncovering and challenging client assumptions, intuitions and prior knowledge
Performing desk research, data analysis and stakeholder interviews to understand and document the project context
Finding and synthesizing relevant research across behavioral science-related fields
Leveraging established frameworks to better understand the precursors of the targeted behavior
Adapting proprietary and third-party data gathering instruments to uncover barriers associated with these precursors
Conducting randomly controlled trials in both laboratory and field settings
Generating hypotheses and validating them through targeted fieldwork
Analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative findings to answer core questions
Prioritizing findings and distilling key insights by collaborating with other consultants and directors to produce client-facing deliverables
Presenting findings to internal and client stakeholder groups
Producing reports that highlight key insights in user-friendly ways
Advocating for Behavioural Insights across the organization
Experience/Skillsets:
Desired experience includes but is not limited to: designing and deploying experiments, conducting A/B tests, building psychometric surveys, conducting customer insights research, insights analysis, organizational change management, and behavioural reviews with a focus on communications.
An advanced degree (MSc / PhD) in psychology, behavioural science, or a related discipline. Or equivalent experience working in an applied behavioural science role.
Communications expertise; strong verbal & written skills are a must
Ability to understand business needs and develop project plans that will meet those needs effectively.
Holistic, strategic thinker who constantly connects the dots between ideas, problems, products, channels, and how ethical & sustained impact can be achieved
A strong initiative and ability to navigate ambiguity and complex environments
An independent thinker with strong initiative comfortable working in an often ambiguous and dynamic environment
Specific Education Requirements:
University or Post-Secondary education required.
Experience in communications development and optimization an asset.
