L'École des études préparatoires et des langues du Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) is seeking a qualified and dynamic individual to fill the position of Assessor – Language Assessment Center.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the coordinator – Language Assessments, the main tasks will include, among others:
· Conducting CLB assessments at the Language Assessment Centre, either in person or remotely, in accordance with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Government of Nova Scotia policies and procedures.
· Assess the language proficiency level of immigrant clients in Nova Scotia using the online and in-person Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Assessment (CLBPA) test in accordance with IRCC policies and procedures or other relevant assessments.
· Provide support to supervisors by offering the necessary guidance and training to ensure the effective delivery of services.
· Provide follow-up and language counseling after the service, which entails staying informed of current language services available.
· Attend meetings and training sessions as needed.
· Perform any other duties deemed relevant by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: Hold a bachelor's degree in a field related to adult education or another relevant area, possess a CLBPA language assessment certificate, or complete the necessary training to obtain a CLBPA assessment certificate from the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks.

Other important skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must. A strong command of both spoken and written English is essential. Demonstrate initiative in your work and in problem-solving; work confidentially with minimal supervision; have the ability to set priorities and demonstrate versatility; maintain a strong performance and attendance record.
