The Role - Assistant Store Manager (ASM)
As ASM you'll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day success of your store. You'll support the Store Manager by leading the team on the floor, owning inventory processes, and ensuring customers consistently receive an outstanding retail experience.
No cannabis experience is required. If you know retail, we'll teach you the rest!
Retail Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example and support a positive, high-performance team culture
- Coach, mentor, and support retail staff through regular feedback and performance conversations
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling
- Step into leadership during the Store Manager's absence
- Model best-in-class retail practices and coach the team to do the same
Customer Experience
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive and engaging in-store experience
- Lead the team to build strong relationships with customers and the local community
- Support merchandising, promotions, and in-store initiatives
Inventory & Operations
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and point-of-sale systems
- Lead inventory counts, receiving, transfers, and product preparation
- Support loss prevention and inventory controls
- Ensure opening/closing procedures and daily store operations are executed correctly
Compliance & Standards
- Be a champion of company policies and procedures
- Ensure regulatory requirements and store standards are consistently met
- Be the benchmark for professionalism, accuracy, and accountability on the floor
Store Operations
- Hold high standards for store cleanliness and operational readiness
- Ensure opening/closing procedures are consistently being followed

Experienced in:
- Customer-focused retail
- Leading, coaching and mentoring fellow-employees
- Inventory management and reporting
- Operating a POS system
- Excel, Word and Outlook
