The Opportunity We are currently seeking an Inventory Planner to join our Commercial team in St. John's, NL. The role is a permanent position, working a Monday to Friday schedule, based in St. John's. Travel to Long Harbour and Voisey's Bay will be on an as-needed basis.The Inventory Planner is responsible for coordinating and planning inventory and materials to support VNL operations, including Long Harbour and Voisey's Bay. This is a highly cross?functional role that works closely with maintenance, operations, warehousing, logistics, procurement, and finance to ensure materials are available to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.The role focuses on inventory planning and forecasting to ensure maximized equipment uptime while reducing overstock, including the proactive identification, management, and removal of obsolete and surplus materials. The incumbent supports PMPs, shutdowns, and maintenance activities by aligning inventory strategies with maintenance plans and operational demand, while balancing cost, risk, and availability.The Inventory Planner operates in a complex, multi?site environment, supporting remote supply chains and logistics activities such as air freight and marine shipping. The role includes frequent site engagement at Long Harbour and Voisey's Bay, both in the field and office, and requires the ability to identify gaps, develop new processes, and implement best?practice inventory and material management solutions across VNL operations.Additionally, in this position you will:
- Plan and manage inventory requirements based on maintenance plans and operational demand.
- Ensure parts and materials availability ahead of PMPs, shutdowns, slowdowns, and work orders.
- Identify, manage, and dispose of obsolete, surplus, and overstock materials.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations on spare parts strategy and asset obsolescence.
- Manage CMD inventories and support the clean?up and removal of shadow inventory.
- Work with vendors on return opportunities, auctions, scrap, and value?recovery initiatives.
- Support health, safety, and regulatory compliance related to inventory and material handling.
- Develop and improve inventory systems, processes, and workflows.

About You Education:
- Undergraduate Degree (Business/Supply Chain is preferred, but other fields of study may be considered).
- SCMP, PMAC and/or Six Sigma preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and/or within inventory control, maintenance material coordination, or materials management.
- Ability to negotiate, collaborate, and gain consensus.
- Equipment or Maintenance background is preferred.
- A strong comprehension of Operational Processes and Maintenance Systems is an asset.
