Experienced Carpenter for Heavy Civil Construction Projects
We are a Nova Scotia based company and are currently seeking experienced carpenters for heavy civil construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install formwork for cast-in-place concrete.
- Building and assembling wooden and/or steel structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, supports, and temporary frame shelters according to instructions and standards of practice.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain hand and power tools used to build concrete formwork.
- Placement of concrete and basic finishing operations.
Qualifications:
- Carpenter certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with formwork preferable including footings, columns, pier caps, decks including overhangs and parapets.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Must be willing to travel to various locations to work throughout the province (Meals and accommodations provided).
