Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Assistant Manager of Marketing supports the Marketing Manager in developing, executing and optimizing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement and revenue growth.

This role plays a key part in strategic planning, managing budgets, coordinating campaigns and overseeing social media and digital initiatives S/he is a critical part of the marketing team at RED SHORES, and will be measured by their contribution to the overall success of the facility, and as such will be required to have collaborative working relationships with the entire RED SHORES team.
Working closely with the Marketing and Sales team, this multi-faceted position requires the ability to be both customer focused and technically inclined. This role would oversee and manage in the execution (as required) of all marketing initiatives, promotions and specialty programs (i.e. Casino, Live Racing and Dining promotions and events).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Marketing Manager in the planning, development, and implementation of the annual Red Shores Marketing Plan
• Analyze market trends, customer insights and competitive to assist in marketing strategy
• Assist in preparing and managing budgets with the marketing manager
• Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
• Lead the development, planning and day-to-day reporting of the marketing & sales assistant (or lead) to the Assistant Manager of Marketing
• Identifying, evaluating, executing and maintaining the marketing initiatives for RED SHORES in the development and implementation of all digital promotions and electronic guest communications
• Manage Red Shores digital properties (current and future) and coordinate the planning, optimization, and execution of a social media strategy to support and advance business goals while building and evolving the Red Shores brand on all digital channels
• Develop and execute digital and social media content calendars based on Red Shores Marketing Plan
• Written and visual content strategizing, drafting, and publishing for social media, through a balance of in-the-moment posting, live event coverage, and scheduled posts
• Coordinating and overseeing paid digital campaigns
• Assist with Marketing communication and coordination - develop timelines, prepare communication documents (internal and external), SRAs, and rules & regulations
• Ongoing monitoring and engagement with social audiences, responding to questions, comments, and messages.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree with marketing, business or communication background.
• 3-5 years' experience in a marketing position with a heavy emphasis on Digital and social media/Marketing
• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytical tools.
• Requires a comprehensive understanding of operational processes, approaches and issues and/or specialized knowledge in a technical discipline.
• Requires moderately complex analysis and proven reasoning and planning skills to solve a range of strategic and practical problems.
• Discretion and judgment must be exercised without reference to a team leader, except with respect to policy and financial implications without recognized precedent.
• Requires extensive interpersonal and communication skills to convey highly complex information and/or motivate others to take action.
• Guided by policies and professional standards, has some freedom to act in areas of responsibility. Work results have a moderate and direct influence on the achievement of unit or function performance objectives
