We currently own and operate more than 400 Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Panera Bread locations across 20 different provinces and states. With presence in all 10 provinces and 11 states, FMI is proud to employ over 6,500 people. All operations are administered from our Support Center in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for regular reporting of financial performance, ensuring accuracy of data and adherence to accounting principles, as well as performing reconciliations and preparing schedules to support all general ledger accounts. The role involves communication with Operational managers on a regular basis.
- Assist Accounting Manager with preparing and distributing profit & loss (P&L) statements for restaurants
- Prepare GL account reconciliations on Blackline
- Review and posting of general ledger entries, and review of GL accounts at each period end
- Ensure accounting controls and processes are followed
- Assist Accounting Manager with preparing audit working papers for year end
- Provide support to the Operations staff with issue resolution
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Accounting Manager
- Accounting diploma, business degree or minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills

- Strong knowledge and capabilities in spreadsheets
