OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Consultant to join our team and provide advanced operational leadership across complex enterprise network environments. This role is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing mission-critical network infrastructure spanning on-premises data centers and Azure cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Cisco ACI and hybrid connectivity, act as a senior escalation point within network operations, and play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of our enterprise networking environment.
WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to enterprise networking infrastructure.
- Act as an escalation point for advanced networking incidents, coordinating with vendors and external technical resources to drive timely resolution.
- Provide hands-on support for Cisco ACI environments and Azure networking components.
- Serve as the networking subject matter expert (SME) across internal and customer-facing technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
- Design, implement, and optimize network solutions to improve performance, scalability, and capacity.
- Research, evaluate, and implement network security protocols and enhancements to maintain a secure infrastructure.
- Lead day-to-day network operations activities, ensuring stability, reliability, and high availability of services.
- Contribute to long-term operational planning, infrastructure roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for networking solutions and operational processes.
- Support and administer tools and platforms including Cisco Prime, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Catalyst, Junos Space, OpManager, CheckPoint firewalls, and A10/Netscaler load balancing solutions.
- Participate in change management processes, including planning, risk assessment, implementation, and post-change validation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure seamless network integration and service delivery.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB
- More than 15 years of experience in enterprise networking, with a strong focus on operations and support.
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Cisco ACI architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, VLANs, SDN, WAN, LAN, and data center networking.
- Strong experience with Cisco technologies (Cisco Prime, ISE, Catalyst platforms).
- Experience with firewall and security platforms such as Checkpoint and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as OpManager and Junos Space.
- Experience with load balancing solutions such as A10 and/or Netscaler.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer networking issues in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of networking security protocols and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
