As part of the Project Management Office team, the Project Coordinator role is responsible for supporting capital and OM&A projects for the organization by way of supporting project managers with various projects and assisting with the timely delivery of work and all phases of tasks.

Key functions include:

• Support the Project Manager in the coordination and timely delivery of projects.
• Sustain all aspects of assigned projects through all appropriate phases of the project life cycle to contribute to meeting the defined scope, time, cost, and quality objectives through the application of appropriate management techniques, systems, and procedures.
• Support smaller projects by operating as the Project Lead or co-lead on select initiatives.
• Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of ongoing projects, review schedules, resourcing, budgets and controls, as well as monitor project expenditures and overall progress.
• Assist in preparing project status reports for key stakeholders, the PMO(Performance Management Office), executive oversight, and board reporting.

Our ideal teammate will have:

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Technology or related technical degree or two-year diploma in Information Technology related area (candidates with a diploma must have an additional two (2) years of relevant experience)
• Three years of related experience supporting projects; project controls related work
• A CAPM or PMP designation or progressing towards acquiring designation or other Project Management Certification
• Knowledge of standard Project Management methods and tools
• Experience in business transformation or technology related projects
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and SharePoint

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
