What is the opportunity?
Senior Project Manager, Mobile Release Train Lead would work closely with project managers, development teams, QE teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that releases (App and Services) are delivered on time, with high quality, and in alignment with the goals and objectives.
This role would require someone with experience in managing release pipelines and coordinating between teams and stakeholders, as well as a deep understanding of mobile banking, system architecture, and technology integration. The Project Manager would need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Additionally, this role would require someone with experience in agile delivery practices and the ability to drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
Overall, the ideal candidate should have a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, communication skills, risk management skills, program management skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
What will you do?
Providing oversight on all Mobile Banking Apps and Services release activities, including orchestration of interdependencies between teams & systems, and deliverables throughout the product lifecycle. Managing Release Launch Communications to the executive level.
Leading key Mobile Platform initiatives to enable scalability and maintain reliability, including technical migrations, building cross-pillar/platform frameworks, updating SDK, etc. Developing plans, setting goals, and contributing to the Mobile Platform strategy.
Defining release cadence, managing schedules in collaboration with the stakeholders and partners, and ensuring the features go to market safely and with a high level of quality.
Maintaining and evolving Mobile processes including but not limited to Mobile releases (App and Services) including alignment between Mobile Pillars and other portfolios with Mobile impact, as well as defining criteria for such activities to be included in the release pipeline.
Identifying, managing, and balancing various risks by leveraging an understanding of mobile banking, system architecture, and technology integration, including individual project risks, risks impacting other in-flight projects, release-level risks, infrastructural platform risks, risks to existing features, etc. Addressing Mobile Release blockers.
Continuous evaluation of a path to production to find opportunities to eliminate 'waste' and increase the rate of automation. Root cause analysis of repeated issues and implementing measures to avoid those issues in the future.
Developing Mobile Release key indicators, establishing goals, analyzing the results, and making recommendations. Refining and enforcing Mobile standards, processes, and guidelines for the teams to follow. Challenging the status quo and driving changes.
Enriching the agile culture, evolving and iterating agile delivery practices to increase consistency, and harvesting best practices.
Must-have:
Strong Project Management skills working in mixed environments (Waterfall, Agile).
Strong technical knowledge in system design and integrations, ability to conceptualize while going deep where necessary.
Strong decision-making in ambiguous environments based on limited information.
Strong Jira/Confluence experience.
Proactivity and drive to make changes and improvements.
Nice-to-have:
Experience in Mobile App and service delivery lifecycle
Experience in driving changes in organizations
Program Management skills
