The Opportunity

As a valued member of our Customer Relations Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of Customer Relations programs and the management of the Customer Relations employees in the Gander office. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for supervising Meter Readers, Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and Area Customer Representatives (ACRs). This includes daily disconnection for debt approvals, handling escalations and ensuring efficient workflow to Regional Operations team.
  • Develop and grow community partnerships, coordinate and lead corporate participation in events such as business forums and trade shows.
  • Act as lead representative at Company events and in the community.
  • Lead customer communications for planned and unplanned outages including key customer accounts and emergency personnel. Shared responsibility as a member of the on-call duty roster.
  • Responsible for assisting Regional Operations teams in storm response, such as arranging accommodations, food and coordinate visiting crews.
  • Key member of management of Area Office including strategic planning, general office management, contract management, building upgrades, safety management, day to day support of technologists/operations teams, including assisting Technologists with escalations and papersave approvals.
  • Responsible for key customer account management, such as meeting monthly outreach targets, responding to customer inquiries, and escalations for the Area Office.
  • Liaison with Contact Centre Supervisors in support of CSRs working in the Area Offices.
  • Responsible for property restoration and damage claims investigation and settlement.
  • Responsible for revenue protection investigations and resolution.
  • Responsible for delivery of takeCHARGE programs including public presentations, program management, retail space planning and merchandising, trade shows, School Program delivery and auditing a quota of approved rebates.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (or related discipline) or a three-year Business Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a contact centre, customer service environment, or other related area.
  • Previous leadership experience, particularly in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of utility operations or technical aptitude would be considered an asset.
  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Passion for customer service combined with strong relationship building, negotiation, coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Keen attention to details along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also essential to this position.
