The Technology Services Division of Service New Brunswick is searching for an individual who would enjoy a meaningful and rewarding career in the support and advancement of large-scale thin client solutions and virtual desktop services throughout the GNB enterprise. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will provide technical leadership to a team that manages the delivery of published resources for a suite of software systems used by health professionals and government departments across the province. You will be supported by highly skilled teams, located throughout New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, the Infrastructure Specialist will be the most senior resource on the Citrix/VDI Team whose responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement and maintain client solutions, principles, standards, frameworks, and strategies
- Develop Corporate Citrix, Imprivata, IGEL and thin client roadmaps and strategies
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a group of Technical Analysts and Senior Technical Analysts
- Develop and validate standard operating procedures and related processes for Change, Incident and Problem Management that align with ITIL methodologies
- Monitor overall performance of the corporate Citrix / Imprivata / IGEL / Virtual Desktop environment and develop improvements for the quality and efficiency of the team's service delivery
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience OR a college diploma in a related discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience with reviewing and creating processes and technical documentation, including ITIL methodologies
- Experience managing and maintaining Citrix 7.15 / 19.12 & Citrix Cloud DaaS environments
- Experience managing and maintaining Imprivata single sign-on and tap environment
- Experience managing and maintaining Thin Client environment including IGEL OS and HP thin client hardware
- Experience managing and maintaining licenses and contracts
- Experience with Enterprise Operating Systems - Microsoft Windows Enterprise 10 / 11 & Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019/2022/2025
- Experience with IT automation and management solutions – Ex: ControlUp, etc
- Experience with Active Directory, O365, Group Policy administration
- Experience with VMWare products – VM Workstation, VDI, ESX
- Experience with server & desktop hardware / operating systems, networks and a demonstrated ability to keep informed of current advancements and trends
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery preferably with a large enterprise organization
- Experience with one or more of the following: Endpoint management, IGEL UMS, PowerShell
- Experience w/ MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Networking Concepts, Certificate Authorities

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires flexibility in working hours, which includes evenings and weekends. The successful candidates will be required to be on call for after-hours support.
On occasion, some travel throughout the province may be required.
Candidates will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment and must be willing to obtain a security clearance.

Salary: $77,766 - $103,454 annually – Pay Band 6 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
