Meridia is proud to partner with Lindsay Construction in the recruitment of a highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead major work within the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) Redevelopment, one of the largest healthcare infrastructure projects ever embarked on in Atlantic Canada.

Role Description:

As Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing construction of the Clinical Services Building, a multi-year project of massive scope, scale and complexity. You'll drive the project from planning through execution, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, budget, and exceptional stakeholder communication. This includes leading multidisciplinary teams, navigating the intricacies of healthcare construction, and working within a 50/50 joint?venture structure with Pomerleau.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and coordination for all aspects of the Clinical Services Building project.
  • Oversee project execution, including budgeting, gross profit, scheduling, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams, design partners, subcontractors, and hospital stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Operate effectively within a joint venture structure, collaborating closely with Pomerleau's Construction Manager while representing Lindsay Construction's project leadership.
  • Uphold stringent safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and community partners.
  • Support proposal, estimating, pre construction, and engineering activities.
  • Champion Lindsay Construction's values and commitment to client service.

Your Qualifications:

You're an experienced and highly capable project leader with a proven track record managing complex, large-scale construction projects. You excel at communication, relationship?building, and navigating dynamic stakeholder environments.

Your qualifications include:

  • 10+ years leading large?scale institutional or commercial projects; 2-3+ years of healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams on complex building projects.
  • Strong skills in scheduling, estimating, subcontractor coordination, and procurement.
  • Solid understanding of building systems; familiarity with healthcare systems is a major asset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship?building skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize in a fast?moving, multi?project environment.
