Job Opportunity: Senior Manager, IT Services (Permanent)
Invest Nova Scotia is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, IT Services to lead the planning, delivery, security, and continuous improvement of our information technology services. Reporting to the Director, People, Culture & Administration, this role oversees the administration, integration, design, deployment, and cybersecurity of IT systems supporting Invest Nova Scotia. As a key partner in advancing our business development mandate, the Senior Manager ensures reliable, secure, and scalable digital services for staff and incubation facilities across multiple locations, while supporting organizational and compliance requirements.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will lead the IT Services team and drive strategic IT initiatives that support Invest Nova Scotia's business development and operational goals. You will ensure the reliability, security, and effective use of systems and infrastructure, lead multi-disciplinary system and process upgrades, and manage vendor and stakeholder relationships. The role also includes overseeing technical documentation and user support, collaborating with internal and external partners, and supporting information governance activities.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, relevant professional certifications such as PMP and/or CRM, and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT Services, including leading teams and complex initiatives. You bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and broad technical expertise across enterprise environments, including Windows systems, network architecture, cybersecurity, cloud and on-premise platforms, virtualization, and VoIP. Experience with Microsoft technologies, web and CMS platforms, and vendor management is required, along with a working knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Additional certifications, such as ITIL or Microsoft credentials, are considered assets.
