Salary: NS31 of the RNUNL Salary scales, $43.48 - $53.74 per hour Additional $15/hr. for hours working in the locum position. Locums must agree to work a minimum of fourteen (14) days (75 hours a bi-weekly) for this benefit to apply. Other benefits in accordance with the RNUNL Collective Agreement.

Definition of Work:
This is a varied professional nursing position with responsibility to provide complete nursing care in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. This is a Casual Travel Locum Premium Assignment.
Required qualifications:
? Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
? Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
? Current ACLS.
? Current BLS certification for health care providers from the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
? Two years of nursing experience.
? Completion of the Health Assessment course or willingness to complete next available course.
? Current PALS and CTAS certification or be willing to complete next available courses.
? Consistent demonstration of NLHS corporate values; Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence (ICARE)
? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
? A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience in emergency nursing.
? Completion of an Emergency/Critical Care Course recognized by Central Health.
