Compensation:
- Salary Range $45,000 - 50,000 annually

Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Imperial Theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records - Maintaining detailed and accurate financial records for the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Assist in the Preparation of financial reports - Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. They will provide these reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on a regular basis.
- Process payments and invoices - Processing payments and invoices, ensuring that all expenses and income are properly recorded and coded.
- Manage payroll - Managing the organization's payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements - Reconciling monthly bank statements and ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded.
- Assist with budgeting - Assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors in creating and maintaining the organization's annual budget.
- Coordinate with auditors - Work closely with external auditors to ensure that all financial records are accurate and up to date for the annual audit.
- Maintain compliance - Ensure that all financial records and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including charitable receipt, taxation remittances, etc.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Possesses formal education and hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting, especially within small to medium-sized organizations.
- Be skilled in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, with adaptability to quickly learn new financial software and tools.
- Have a strong understanding of compliance regulations for charitable organizations, payroll, taxation, and audits, ensuring meticulous accuracy and error-free financial records.
- Be confident analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies or inefficiencies, and resolving issues promptly.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle urgent requests without compromising quality.
- Be a clear and professional communicator capable of explaining financial information to non-financial stakeholders and working effectively across departments.
- Hold an unwavering commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and trustworthiness in managing sensitive financial and personnel data.
- Be a friendly, approachable, accountable individual with a passion for the performing arts and dedication to supporting the organization's mission and values.
